1. Earth Sheltered Lodges at Townsend Touring Park
There is something magical about the earth sheltered lodges at Townsend Touring Park! Nestled in the picturesque landscape of Herefordshire, this unique custom built accommodation is comprised of Mole Manor, Toad Hall and Badgers Court.
Mole Manor is a compact and cosy lodge, complete with shower/toilet/wet room, triple bunk bed, sofa bed, kitchenette, porch with BBQ and a fire pit. It sleeps 5. Badgers Court and Toad Hall each sleep up to 9 people and are larger in size. They feature a fully fitted kitchen, fridge freezer, dishwasher, dining room, bar, lounge, double bedroom, bunk bed, twin bed room and two wet rooms (including toilet!).
If you’re looking for a really unique stay, these earth sheltered lodges remind us of something from a very famous film. Hobbit friendly accommodation, perfectly positioned in a beautiful part of the country, Pembridge (near Leominster) offers easy access to many beautiful areas of natural beauty such as the Wye Valley. It has an established fishing lake, so it’s perfect for a fishing holiday. But if you just prefer a lovely landscape, a friendly feel to the park and unique glamping accommodation, Townsend may be for you!
2. Cedar Cabins at Swiss Farm Touring and Camping Park
Swiss Farm Touring and Camping is in Henley, Oxfordshire and has been owned and run by the Borlase family since 1946. The five star landscaped park is perfectly located for guests wishing to visit London, Windsor and Oxford. The two distinctive cedar glamping cabins are situated in their own private area, overlooking the lake. Both cabins are equipped with a toilet, shower and sink, a small kitchen with fridge (no oven), a BBQ and a sun deck.
The hexagonal cabin has a central double bed and bespoke cedar bunk beds. The Montana cabin is the smallest of the two, suitable for couples although a sofa does convert to a single bed for a young child. The park is just a short walk from the beautiful town of Henley on Thames with its fine shops and famous Royal Regatta course. Explore the area or relax on site and enjoy the wonderful facilities, walk by the Thames or cycle in the Chiltern Hills. Swiss Farm is ready and waiting to welcome you to this lovely part of Oxfordshire.
3. Friarswood Lodges at Bath Chew Valley Caravan Park
Bath Chew Valley Caravan Park have two new(ish!) arrivals… in the form of these fantastic glamping lodges. No 1 Friarswood is clad in cedar and is located at the edge of a small wood with a large deck to sit out on. It is classic in design and nestles beautifully in the natural surroundings. Inside the lodge, there is a lounge with TV, a dining table and chairs and a small kitchenette with fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and a single electric ring. There’s a bathroom with shower, sink and toilet and a full sized double bed.
The brand new contemporary lodge is known as No 2 Friarswood. It has a little more space and full cooking facilities. As per No 1, it has a large deck to sit out on. There is a spacious lounge with TV, dining table and chairs and separate bedroom area with a full sized double bed. The full kitchen has an oven, dual rings, microwaves, fridge, kettle and toaster. There’s also a bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet.
This exciting new style of accommodation in the Chew Valley is located on the multi award-winning caravan park, nestled into the edge of a woodland and close to local amenities. Ideally suited as a base for touring Bristol with its historic docks, Bath with its Roman Baths, Cheddar and its gorge, Wells with Market and Cathedral, as well as for walking in the Mendip Hills or fly-fishing on Chew Valley Lake. Glamping in Bath Chew Valley is one for the intrepid tourist!
4. Glamping Lodges at The Plassey Leisure Park, Wrexham
When it comes to outstanding accommodation, and five star leisure facilities, look no further than Plassey Leisure Park. Set in 250 acres of park and woodland in the picturesque Dee Valley in North Wales, this luxury holiday park is more than just somewhere to stay.
