The Chalice Well
Old Oaks Touring, Camping & Glamping Park in Somerset is an adults only park offering 5 star amenities in a blissfully tranquil setting. Views of the Mendip hills coupled with peace, quiet and abundant wildlife, make this the perfect ‘get away from it all’ spot to enjoy walking, cycling, fishing, sightseeing or simply relaxing.
Facilities include 2 spotless amenities blocks, (one of which has been compared to a 5 star hotel!), free and premium wifi, pool table, disabled facilities, book exchange, TV room with extensive local information, free walking and cycling maps, and doggy shower with warm water.
The pitches are spacious and cleverly landscaped to provide a sense of privacy and you'll love the wide open green spaces. No packing 'em in here! The wealth of trees and mature hedgerows means that birds and other wildlife are in abundance at Old Oaks and you can even borrow a bird feeder for free, so that you can watch everything up close.
Alongside the 88 touring pitches is a range of glamping accommodation to suit all tastes and budgets. Choose from one of 6 glamping pods, 2 luxury shepherd huts or 4 mini cedar lodges. One shepherd and one lodge is equipped with a wood-fired hot tub; perfect for relaxing and star gazing at the end of a hard day's holidaying!
There's a very well stocked shop with extensive range local produce, Somerset souvenirs, camping and caravanning equipment and their infamous home-made cake!
For the angler, there's a half acre fishing lake, restocked in 2018, with carp, tench, bream and chub. If fishing's not your bag, the lake, with it's view towards Glastonbury Tor, is an idyllic spot for wildlife watching.
The park is centrally located for exploring the many attractions of the Somerset landscape, including Wells, Cheddar, Frome, Bath, Bristol and Street.
Come and see why they were recently awarded the AA 5 Pennant Platinum Award, given only to parks with quality scores over 95% , plus a rare Gold award from VisitEngland. In 2018, Old Oaks were the proud recipients of the prestigious AA Campsite of the Year award.

The facilities are second to none, the best I have ever encountered. The attention to detail everywhere is excellent. The whole site is kept beautiful and very well maintained. The owners and wardens are very friendly and helpful. The art course which they run a few times a year is a lovely idea. And last but not least, the daily cakes are to die for!
