With over 400 species of exotic and endangered animals from across the World set within award-winning gardens spanning over 12 acres. It is s the fifth oldest zoo in the world and first opened its doors to the public on Monday 11 July 1836. It has given more than 90 million visitors a great day out. Since then it has started numerous conservation projects, showed generations of school-aged children the value of nature.  Have fun running wild in the adventure playground and water play-area.  There is so much to see it makes a great day out.
