An idyllic caravan park and campsite in Somerset for adults only; Waterrow Touring Park is set in a beautiful wooded valley close to Exmoor, the Quantocks and the Somerset and North Devon coastlines.

Situated close to the Somerset/Devon border and 16 miles from Taunton, Waterrow Touring Park is an attractively landscaped touring park with separate area for tents. Each spacious, all weather, pitch benefits from views of the surrounding countryside, shrub screening, electric hook up and TV connection point.

This quiet adults only touring park is the perfect retreat to unwind and enjoy a peaceful holiday in a beautiful location on the bank on the River Tone. Waterrow Caravan Park is open all year round and is also dog friendly. There is a good country park within walking distance.

Waterrow Touring Park is a registered Private Nature Reserve and a County Wildlife Site. Relax in the beautiful surroundings, walk the hills, venture to the many National Trust properties nearby, and visit Taunton, the Somerset coast and Exmoor. Watercolour painting holidays and fly-fishing tuition can be arranged.

Camping near Exmoor

You will find that Waterrow Caravan Park is the ideal base to explore the unspoilt area to the East of Exmoor. There are many attractions within a 30-minute drive, including Dulverton - the gateway to Exmoor National Park. From here you can explore miles of heathland and wooded valleys and visit the famous Tarr Steps.

The hamlet of Waterrow itself is in the Brendon Hills. Visitors to the site love to explore this countryside setting with plenty of circular walks directly from the touring park. The nearest town, Wiveliscombe, is 3 miles away and boasts great local shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants.


Waterrow is a site that really cares for the environment and proudly holds a David Bellamy Gold Conservation Award. Enjoy the wildlife on the tranquil riverside and woodland walks.

The 5 star facilities include; heated shower and toilet blocks, wifi, dedicated, dog walking areas, information area, library, coffee machine, laundry area and freezer.

  • Clean and tidy, well kept grounds and facilities. Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. Some road noise on some of the pitches. But overall a very nice site set in a lovely position.
