Set in the magnificent South Devon countryside, Woodlands Grove is a 5 AA Gold awarded Devon campsite very close to the stunning waterside town of Dartmouth and a short drive from South Hams beautiful Beaches. A huge bonus to staying here is free entry to the site’s 90-acre Woodlands family theme park. We welcome touring caravans, motorhomes, tents and trailer tents into our site.

About the campsite

The award winning Woodlands Grove campsite is set in terraces with glorious views across the magnificent landscape, perfect for both allocated pitching spaces and those who prefer an informal setup. The site offers spacious all-weather pitches and grass pitches with immaculate facilities suitable for all cared.

A two-night stay or more allows guests free access to Woodlands Family Theme Park, the largest family theme park in the South West. There are 11 play-zones, a Zoo-Farm, a Falconry Centre and 16 family rides with plenty to do even if the weather turns.

Pitches

There are several pitches suitable for tents, caravan and motorhomes with or without electric hook up. Pitches are available both on terraces and in informal spaces. All weather pitches are available, and rocks pegs can be borrowed from reception for a £20 deposit returned when leaving.

Youve read the rest, now read the best, Woodlands is a great place to stay for the family and even a dog. The facilities are clean, the pitches generous and the staff are very kind polite and helpful. the dog run is very spacious to let the dog stretch its legs, and even have a kennels to put the dog in whilst you go on the rides. weve come here for years, and the kids are always excited to come. I was sad to hear the staff ask us to write a good review, as they have received a few poor ones, i cant understand why, unless the meanies giving bad reviews are just serial complainers. The staff work really hard, maintaining the site to a very high standard, and we always feel welcomed. Dont delay, book today, the kids will love you for it, and even the dog.

We have just returned from a 4 day visit to Woodlands Camping and Leisure Park. Although booking in was slightly busy, the staff were extremely helpful and showed us to our pitches with no trouble. We were in Falcons View on a tiered all weather pitch. It was lovely as there were only 8 pitches on our tier so plenty of room for the children to play. The facilities were very close by which made it very helpful. Although they were slightly old fashioned, they were very clean. We often saw wardens throughout the day cleaning different parts of the facilities. All the staff we encountered throughout our stay were very friendly. Woodlands Park itself is excellent. There was so much for the children to do and a great range for all ages. We all enjoyed the range of rides and parks, including the Falconry Show. Although we queued a little, it was nothing considering it was August holidays! One of the most exciting parts for the children was to be able to use the play parks in the theme park in the evenings. We had a wonderful time exploring with our torches and making the most of the parks whilst it was quiet. An absolute bonus of staying on site! We had a thoroughly wonderful week and will be booking up again ready for next year.
