As we commence 2025, we are thrilled to announce that one of the Best of British Holiday Parks, South Lytchett Manor, has received a series of prestigious awards. This family friendly 5 star rated holiday park consistently achieves not only the highest gradings but also award wins that compliment their hard work perfectly. This is a family-owned campsite in Dorset, just minutes from Poole, Bournemouth, and the Jurassic Coast. Known for its welcoming atmosphere, the site offers various accommodations, including spacious pitches, glamping pods, shepherd’s huts, Romany caravans, and star-gazing yurts.
With well-maintained amenities and dog-friendly areas, guests have easy access to attractions like Poole Harbour and Corfe Castle. South Lytchett Manor combines countryside charm with modern comforts for a memorable camping or glamping experience. It’s easy to see why the team gained so many accolades in 2024. The team has demonstrated excellence in customer service, dedication, and innovation, and they are proud to have achieved the following accolades:
Award 1: AA Five-Star Platinum Award – 98% Quality Score
The team retained their Five-Star Platinum rating with an impressive quality score of 98%. The Inspector remarked, “This park never fails to impress with investment year after year. This year, the glamping side of the business has expanded with no fewer than eight Mongolian yurts that are designed and finished to a very high standard by Jo Bridgen.”
Award 2: Visit England Five Star Award – 98% Quality Score
The team have also retained the Visit England Five Star Gold Award, with a quality rating score of 98%. The assessor commended the team, stating, “The whole team should be hugely congratulated for the impressive levels of cleanliness across the park and the cheerful, professional manner in which they greet all new arrivals.”
These two awards recognise camping and caravanning parks that provide exceptional guest experiences across camping, touring pitches, glamping, and more. They validate the relentless pursuit of excellence, dedication to customers and consistent delivery of outstanding facilities.
Award 3: Diamond Loo of the Year Award
For the fourth consecutive year, the team have achieved the Diamond Award for our exceptional washroom facilities. This is the highest and most prestigious accolade available to washroom providers, their cleaners, and maintainers. The Loo Awards grant this honour to only a limited number of businesses each year.
Award 4: South and South East in Bloom Award
The team celebrated a Gold win at the In Bloom Awards for Business Landscape. They work diligently to maintain high planting standards that support wildlife and bees. This summer, ‘Buggingham Palace’ was constructed near the duck pond.
Awards 5, 6, and 7: DMB Tourism Awards 2024
Before Christmas, members of the team attended the prestigious Destination Management Board (DMB) Tourism Awards 2024 at the Hilton Hotel in Bournemouth. This grand event celebrates business excellence among companies and organisations across Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole.
This year, they entered the Self-Catering category for their glamping units, the Rising Star Award and Best Customer Service. On the night of the awards, the team were thrilled to receive two gold awards for their efforts! Director Matt also won the Silver Award for the Rising Star category.
