Recognised not only as one of the best campsites in Dorset but in fact the whole UK, South Lytchett Manor offers all modern facilities and is set in an idyllic location.
Nestled in over 20 acres of tranquil parkland on the former Lytchett Manor estate, this top quality tent, caravan and motorhome park is a firm favourite with many.
If you're looking for a Bournemouth camping option then the town is only a 20 minute drive and Poole is only 3 miles away. Located in pretty Dorset countryside, South Lytchett Manor is an ideal base for exploring outstanding local beauty spots, places of historic interest and a wide variety of nearby family attractions.
Superbly maintained and continually improved, South Lytchett Manor has long been a firm favourite with caravanners and campers alike, many of who return year after year to enjoy the friendly and relaxed atmosphere on this family-run campsite. It is also know as one of the best dog friendly campsites in Dorset.
The holiday park is known far and wide for its clean and modern facilities. Great examples are the new shower rooms which are luxurious, heated amenities of the highest standard. The site also offers a wide range of walks through manicured parkland, a two and a half acre mown lead dog walking field with access to the village pub. We also have new dog washing facilities to give your four legged friend a clean after a muddy adventure.
There's even a regular bus service which stops right outside the park gates. This is particularly useful for our motorhome guests who can leave their vehicle on site and hop straight on public transport to explore the local area. Even the buses are dog friendly too!
This combination of excellent facilities and ideal location makes South Lytchett Manor one of the top holiday campsites - not only in Dorset, but in the whole UK, as numerous awards have testified.
The park has been voted Practical Caravan and Practical Motorhome overall UK Winner for Best Campsite 2018. As part of this the park claimed 3 national awards for Best Site for Camping, Best Site for Motorhomes and Best Site for Caravans. The park was also awarded the overall winner of campsite of the year 2016 by the AA and has won the Dorset Tourism Gold Award two years in a row.
Visitors to the site this year will be treated to even better facilities, including the paddock offering a variety of pitches sited in full sunshine - some boasting stunning views of Burdens Park. These spacious, deluxe pitches have their own water, drainage, TV hook-up and even their own picnic benches. There is also brand new children's play park equipment.
Remember, if you book this year, you will receive a warm welcome of free tea and coffee on your first visit to the Courtyard Centre - a three minute stroll away through the park. Just visit Dylan's cafe and restaurant and drink in the holiday atmosphere. You can also take advantage of a free bottle of wine at the local pub, St Peter's Finger, when you order two main meals. What better way to start your holiday and enjoy camping in Dorset at its best!

My husband and I were impressed with the dog walk as it was safe, clean and lots of space to play with them. I also really liked the music in the shower block and the fresh flowers. Additionally, the shower block is very clean and smells lovely and fresh. The campsite is well laid out giving a lovely spacious feel to it.

A well kept, beautiful and clean site, the pitches are spacious, light and airy. The ladies washrooms were pristine and warm too, which was gratefully appreciated on a chilly Spring morning. Thoughtful touches are provided with fresh flowers and soft music. The staff were friendly and helpful, the little shop was well stocked and there is a nearby cafe too. I loved the country feel to the site, with its mature trees and pretty flower borders. The bird song filled the air of a morning, how uplifting is that! I'll be pleased to recommend the site and can't wait to visit again.

Every single member of your team was always so friendly and cheerful whether it was early morning popping into the shop or late at night as they closed up for the day they genuinely were just so nice and happy to start up a conversation, which just reflected in everyone's friendliness. Even though we were abit unsure when the site started to fill up being half term it just never changed which was amazing :) A motor home gentleman came over to us to tell us how amazed he was by the friendliness and that he had never experience this before and I had to say it made us feel quite proud as we have now become a regular caravanner. The grounds staff worked so hard making everything look tidy, there were never any litter around. The new amazing Romany caravans wow they add to the charm of the site ….I feel a Dorset glamping treat is needed for us. My most enjoyable moment was every night walking through the camping field with the sounds of so many families just totally enjoying their camping experience. The laughter, whispering, playing games and of course the smells of the many BBQ's highlighted with the twinkling lights is priceless.

Really nice site with very friendly staff. The facilities were very clean and our pitch was nice and big with a picnic table which proved very handy. The nearby pub (walkable) was very good and the bus stop at the gates meant we could leave the car behind on occasions. The whole park had a lovely relaxed feel about it and made our stay an absolute pleasure.

If there ever was a friendly site this is it. Nothing was ever too much trouble no matter how small or large. The welcome you are given is kind and with a smile which is all you ever want! But to top it all the site is a credit to the owners and all their staff. Neat tidy and very well presented and we've seen a few! A great dog walking area that is safe and enclosed lovely for anyone who likes to play ball with your dog. The pub is within walking distance a pleasant stroll through the site and down the road way. A rare addition along with immaculate facilities is the super shop with many things that campers either forget to bring or find the ultimately need and it's not over expensive. Well done South Lytchett you are highly recommended. Good point to remember too you are not too far for the ferry at Poole being a useful stopover.

Best site we have been on in 20 years of motorhoming. Bus outside the gate to Poole and opposite to Swanage. This is the first site I have seen with a hand sanitizer pump at the grey water/ toilet emptying point. A brilliant idea that all sites should have. The toilets/showers are the best we have used in our 20 years of motorhoming.

Second visit to site within 6 weeks and we enjoyed our second visit just as much as the first. The site is ideally placed to visit Poole, Wimborne, Corfe Castle and Swanage. The staff are very friendly and the site well maintained. This takes a lot of hard work especially in the autumn months.
