Bath Chew Valley Caravan Park is getting in the festive spirit! When the park re-opens on 2nd December, guests will be treated to a fantastic assortment of Christmas illuminations in this idyllic Somerset location. Every year the park creates a beautiful display of festive lights and this year is set to be better than ever! The beautiful decorations make it one of the most festive holiday parks in the county.
Those dark winter evenings will be spruced up with the twinkling of hundreds of fairy lights. So, if you're looking for a staycation for Christmas 2020, Bath may be the place to be!
The Christmas Market is cancelled for 2020, but it can be found online instead. The Bath Christmas Festival will still take place between 2nd and 23rd December and the city will sparkle with glittering lights and the streets will be filled with festive spirit. From lantern processions and magical city illuminations to a programme of festive events, the city is uniting across arts and culture, retail and hospitality, meaning you can still discover the magic of Bath this Christmas.
Festive self-catering lodges
Park owner, Keith Betton, tells us "Our Christmas lights are a very popular tradition at the park. We decorate our lodges and switch on the park illuminations from mid-November to twelfth night." The two glamping lodges, Friarswood 1 and 2 are converted into fabulous festive abodes. And, if you're new to glamping at Christmas, where better to start?
Many guests join in with the park's tradition by decorating their caravans and motorhomes. "There's a free weekend prize for the owners of the best decorated unit over the Christmas and New Year week", Keith explains, "But no one loses. We give a complimentary bottle of wine to the owners of every decorated unit during that week".
