Saturday 3rd June


Join the people of Cambridge for their annual one-day music and arts event. Set on Midsummer Common next the river in the centre of Cambridge, this entirely volunteer run fair has been delighting residents and visitors alike for over 40 years. Strawberry Fair is a musical and performance extravaganza for all the family; complete with a mini film festival and many fascinating community stalls. Enjoy the day for free and help celebrate this vibrant city.

Wednesday 21st & Thursday 22nd June 


A truly authentic agricultural show, the Lincolnshire Show is a fantastic family friendly day out. As always, highlights include shopping, food, gardening exhibitions, fairground rides, music, farmyard animals, competitions, displays and countryside pursuits. Make a day of it by bringing along a picnic and setting up your camping chairs ring-side to enjoy the nonstop entertainment, from show jumping to stunts.

Wednesday 28th & Thursday 29th June


The largest annual event in Norfolk, the Royal Norfolk Show celebrates the very best of food, farming and the countryside. With livestock and equine competitions and displays on both days, top-class show jumping, over 3000 animals and hundreds of attractions there is plenty of entertainment for all the family.

Following the success of the 8th Armed Forces Day National Event 2016 in North East Lincolnshire at Cleethorpes, this years event promises to be a fantastic day out. There are interactive displays throughout the day, ceremonies, evening entertainment and a fireworks finale.

The Gunby gardens are the perfect setting for an open-air theatre performance to remember. Choose from the classic Shakespeare romantic comedy A Midsummer Night’s Dream or the adventure of The Wind in the Willows. Bring along a picnic and enjoy wonderful music and costumes coming together in the picturesque surroundings of the Gunby gardens.

Wednesday 19th July – Wednesday 30th August (inclusive)


Every Wednesday evening for six weeks the skies over Great Yarmouth set alight with a stunning summer firework spectacular. The evening starts off with fun and music entertainment from 8pm followed by the firework display starting at 10pm. For the best viewing area, anywhere along the seafront Esplanade, along Britannia or Wellington Pier are perfect spots. A fabulous free weekly event not to be missed!

Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd July


Enjoy two days of countryside pursuits, rural crafts, displays, performances and great fun at this hugely popular event that is returning to Holkham Park. Enjoy delicious local produce at the Fine Food Village and shop ‘til you drop at over 100 trade stands. Holkham Country Fair prides itself on the quality of the entertainment on offer throughout the day in the Grand Ring. Don’t miss The Red Arrows taking centre stage on Sunday.

Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd July


Over one weekend in July, nature conservation teams will be coming together to one of the largest nature surveys ever done in the area, and they need your help. Come and join in the race against time to record as many species as possible over the two days. No prior knowledge is needed to get involved in fun activities all along the coast from Holme-Next-The-Sea in the east to Salthouse in the west.

Thursday 27th – Sunday 30th July


Held in the beautiful setting of Cherry Hinton Hall, the Cambridge Fold Festival has a reputation as one of the premier music events in Europe. It is also one of the longest running and most famous folk festivals in the world, now in its 53rd year. The line up this year includes Jake Bugg and Indigo Girls and is set to sell out so book your tickets soon.

Lincoln’s biggest independent air show is run to help raise funds for the on-going restoration of Avro Lancaster NX611. This small event has lots going on to make for an excellent family day out including re-enactors, Lancaster taxy runs, trade stalls, vintage cars, Military vehicles and much more.

Saturday 12th August


Blickling Estate is playing host to The National Symphony Orchestra, as they celebrate British music from across the home nations. They will be joined by Classical Brit Award winning Welsh male vocal group Only Men Aloud, Soprano Annette Wardell and traditional piped band, for performances of Proms favourites, closing with a spectacular firework display.

Friday 25th August – Monday 28th August


The largest and longest running steampunk festival in the World, attracting participants from around the globe. But what is steampunk?! It's an eclectic mix of Victoriana and sci-fi. The convention style festival takes place over four days, filling the historic streets of Lincoln. There's no need to dress up to enjoy the fun filled programme of art, literature, music, fashion and comedy.
