Ian, Jane, Jake, Derek & Theo are absolutely delighted that the Trethem Mill Touring Park has been officially named as the South West “Camping & Caravanning Park of the Year 2017” This follows hot on the heels of the Gold award that we also scooped at the Cornwall Tourism Awards last November.
The Excellence Awards celebrate the best in the South West and aim to promote and reward the very best in the tourism industry. We faced strong competition from many other Parks in the South West, a region that covers Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Wiltshire, Dorset and Gloucestershire.
Judges were looking for a Park that has boosted business by making the most of their distinctive appeal. To win the award we needed to demonstrate outstanding levels of customer service, exemplary facilities, have an informative website and a strong commitment to sustainability and being accessible to all.
The awards night was held on the 2nd February at the Ashton Gate stadium, home to Bristol City football club. The guest presenter was Alastair Humphries, the British adventurer, author and blogger.
This year we are celebrating our 25th year at the Park. Our family are very proud that our continued and on-going commitment and investment in the business has been recognised. Since the tourism awards were launched 15 years ago we have been lucky enough to accumulate 15 gold wins at Cornwall, regional and national level.
The Park is a member of the Best of British group. An elite selection of prestigious privately owned parks throughout the UK.
