Cheshire is situated in North West England and famed for its involvement in the production of cheese, silk and salt. It is a predominantly rural county, with an abundance of interesting things to see and do, whether you’re staying for a long weekend or extended break. A stay at our holiday park in Cheshire provides the best of both worlds; picturesque landscapes and easy access to historic towns and major cities.
Chester is just a short drive away from our adult-only holiday park. It is a bustling medieval city with plenty to offer day trippers, including a wide selection of shops, museums and independent restaurants. The city is steeped in history and home to the largest intact city wall walk and a beautiful cathedral, which you can discover during a guided tour. From the top of the central tower, you can enjoy far reaching across five counties and two countries.
Of course, a trip to Cheshire isn’t complete without a visit to Chester Zoo, where the team are working hard on a number of conservation projects. There are more than 27,000 animals housed in 125 acres of pristine zoological gardens that you can observe during your visit.
If you prefer a relaxing break, away from the hustle of market towns and cities, Cheshire is the perfect place to unwind and explore miles upon miles of unspoilt countryside. Some of the Peak District falls within the counties bounds, boasting stunning scenery, which you can discover by bicycle, horseback, canal or one of the many walking trails.
Throughout the country there are an abundance of quaint villages and country pubs to sample, ideal for a pit stop to refuel after a busy day.
