5 star Highlands End Holiday Park has been named the GOLD winner in the Camping, Caravanning and Holiday Park of the Year category at the 2015 Dorset Tourism Awards. A gold winner in 2013 and part of the West Dorset Leisure Holidays groups of 5 family-run Holiday Parks, Highlands End continues its success following a bumper record-breaking year, welcoming over 18,000 visitors.
The Dorset Tourism Awards, launched in 2012, have seen a year-on-year increase in entries, with the aim of raising the profile of Dorset as a destination and to recognise top quality and progressive tourism businesses like Highlands End. With over 76 entries across 19 categories, Highlands End Holiday Park went through a 3-stage judging process involving tourism professionals, a mystery shopper visit and an independent judging panel.
Martin Cox, Managing Director of Highlands End Holiday Park said, “We are delighted to win Gold Holiday Park of the year. It recognises the fantastic work of our entire team over the last 12 months, for which I’d like to congratulate them. The Dorset Tourism Awards is a valuable tool for businesses such as ourselves to boost our profile and the profile of Dorset as a whole as one of the best tourism destinations in the country.” Attending the award ceremony to collect the prize were General Manager James Cox, Accounts Manager Juliet Newman, Accounts Dan Dunford and Holiday Home Sales Manager Jasper Phillips.
