Camel Trail
The Camel Trails follows a disused railway line and runs between the towns of Wendfordbridge and Padstow. The 18-mile surfaced trail can be split into smaller sections and is great for younger, more inexperienced members of the family because the majority of the route is flat and traffic free. As you cycle through the Cornish countryside you can take in fantastic views over the Camel Estuary and the beaches of Rock and Daymer Bay. You might also be fortunate enough to spot some exciting bird life as well as a number of heritage sites. If you’re feeling adventurous, experienced cyclists can take one of the tracks of the main trail for a more challenging ride.

Bike Park Wales
A trip to Bike Park Wales in an absolute must for any mountain bike enthusiasts. The bike park is the first full scale circuit in the UK and rivals some of the best mountain bike courses in the world! There are over 40 trails through the forest, with routes catering to all abilities from beginner to pro. Make your way down the mountain enjoying tight turns, obstacles and jumps along the way! If you want to hone your skills there’s coaching available as well a range of bike hire and food and drink facilities. Best of all, there’s an uplift minibus service which will take you and your bike back to the top so you don’t have to make the difficult ride up the mountain after each run.

Cuckoo Trail
The Cuckoo Trail is a popular cycle route for families visiting the South East. It spans 11 miles along a disused railway from Eastbourne to Heathfield and offers safe, traffic free riding along a surfaced track. As you progress along the trail riders will experience a range of landscapes and scenery, including woodland, farmland and meadows. One of the highlights of this stunning countryside cycle route is the beautiful sculptures and artwork which are dotted along pathway.

Sandstone Way
For avid mountain bikers the Sandstone Way may be the ultimate cycle adventure. The route comprises of 120 miles of off-road trails, bridleways and dirt tracks, which stretch between Berwick upon tweed and Hexham. The trail follows the Sandstone Ridge and links a range of sandstone features across the north. In cycling circles, the Sandstone Way is considered one of the most scenic rides in the country, boasting spectacular views across Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty including Northumberland National Park.

Calshot Velodrome
For a slightly different cycling experience, why not pay Calshot Velodrome a visit? This banked indoor velodrome is the only one of its kind in the south of England making it the perfect cycling day out. Under the watchful eye of an experienced coach, cyclists of all abilities can head out onto the track to be put through their paces and taught the skills needed for this unique style of riding. The centre hires everything you need including track bikes, helmets and shoes.
