Best of British Parks took home no less than eight awards at the prestigious South West Tourism Awards.
The award ceremony held in Bristol at Ashton Gate on 2nd February aims to promote and reward the very best in the tourism industry. This year’s ceremony attracted finalists from some of the best tourism businesses in the region.
Hendra Holiday Park in Cornwall did especially well winning awards in three separate categories during the night. Their gold award was for holiday park of the year.
Janine Hyatt, director at Hendra said ‘We are course delighted with winning another set of awards, especially for winning a gold in competition with so many excellent businesses across the whole of the South West!
Ladram Bay Holiday Park in Devon picked up a bronze award in the same category.
In the Camping & Caravanning Park of the Year category Best of British parks were winners in all three award colours.
Trethem Mill Touring Park was named as the Gold award winners. The park was able to demonstrate the following merits:
Four other Best of British holiday parks were honoured in the same category. Hendra and Wareham Forest both collected silver awards and South Lytchett Manor and Waterrow picked up Bronze.
Best of British Chairman, Claire Jeavons said of the award success “ The performance of the BoB parks at the 2017 South West Tourism Awards was fantastic. To have them take away eight awards on the night is a great achievement. It goes to show that the facilities and customer service that Best of British holiday parks are providing in the South West is very high.”
