Newtown Creek

The Isle of Wights only National Nature Reserve. It is a beautiful retreat and has something to offer everyone whether you are boat owners, walkers, wildlife enthusiasts, historians or those in search of peace and tranquility. You can wander past flower-rich hay meadows, as you wander through the ancient woodlands, look out for rare butterflies, red squirrels and the many birds that are here, particularly in the spring and winter. Look out over salt marsh and the clear waters of the harbour, bobbing with sailing boats.  For those on the water it is a beautiful place to explore and a good way to look out for wetland wildlife.
