Lincolnshire Wolds
Louth , LincolnshireThe Wolds spans 560 km² and is home to the kestrel, meadow pipit, short-eared owl and woodcock.
There are a number of excellent walking and cycling routes available to explore, ranging from shorter routes great for just a leisurely stroll to longer routes where you can really put yourself to work.
Some examples of these routes range from The Viking Way, which is a 147-mile-long foot path to the much shorter Silver Lincs Way which is only 25 miles long in comparison.
There are many villages and activities to see and take part in, too. These include the town of Caistor, which is the home to the largest sheep farm (1858) and horse riding experiences/lessons. There really is something in the area for everyone and would make for a fun-packed family day out.
