Belton House

Set in an extensive deer park, and owned by the National Trust, Belton House is one of the finest examples of Restoration architecture. Often cited as the quintessential country house estate, Belton sits with quiet but stately confidence in elegant formal gardens. See the sunken Italian Garden designed by Jeffry Wyattville and The Dutch Garden dating from the 1870s which includes Yew and more formal beds edged by lavender. There are extensive grounds of 1000 acres with woodland walks, two lakes, and avenues which give an impressive feel to the Estate.
