Ballindalloch Castle

Ballindalloch Castle

Ballindalloch, Moray

A day out at Ballindalloch Castle is made easy by the many tourist attractions on offer. Take a relaxing stroll through the many walking opportunities the ground has to offer (such as formal gardens, woodlands and riverside walks). Let your kids loose in the kid’s playground, featuring tractors, slides and swings. And when you’re ready to refuel after exploring, there’s a tea room and gift shop where you can refuel and commemorate your visit.

When touring the castle itself, the standout rooms you should pay attention to are the dining and drawing room. The dining room is known as the grandest room in the castle, featuring a prominent wide staircase entrance and magnificent fireplace, above which hangs the coat of arms of the Macphersons and the Grants. The drawing room features contemporaneous furniture, pride of place being taken by an oval Sheraton table and gilt mirror which date from the 1750s.

Dates visitors are welcome to visit are from 19th April until 30th September, 10.00am – 5.00pm.
