Winners of our prize draw holiday have enjoyed a free stay at Stroud Hill Park in Cambridgeshire. Mr and Mrs Twyning were the lucky couple to be drawn from the hat after completing an entry form at the Caravan and Motor Home Show, at the N.E.C, in February 2016.
Having been selected as the winners they could choose to stay at ANY of the 55 Best of British UK holiday parks they liked, free, for three nights. They chose Stroud Hill Park having read reviews and recommendations on the internet. They were also very interested in visiting Cambridgeshire for the first time.
As with all guests at Stroud Hill Park, Mr and Mrs Twyning were free to select their own pitch on arrival and were soon settled in. Their first outing was to the beautiful city of Cambridge. They took the amazing Park and Ride guided bus-way from nearby St Ives.
Whilst visiting their chosen holiday park in Cambridgeshire they saw a vast array of local National Trust sites including Wimpole Hall, Wicken Fen, Houghton Mill and Ramsey Abbey Gatehouse and Gardens, to name but a few.
Mr and Mrs Twyning have been caravanning for twenty years and, before now, had never won anything in their lives. On asking them if they were pleased with their selection they commented that their first impressions on arrival, and the friendliness of the staff, reinforced their decision to choose Stroud Hill Park. They went on to remark upon how peaceful and tranquil the park was and the abundance of wild birds, especially the owls.
They enjoyed the luxury facilities, the knowledge and helpfulness of the staff and the plethora of nearby attractions to visit.
Given the beauty of the park and the many attractions they were not able to get to, during their short stay, Mr and Mrs Twyning said they would definitely like to return, as regular guests, sometime in the near future. Of course, they would be more than welcome.
David Newman owner at Stroud Hill said "it was a pleasure for us to receive them and we are immensely pleased that they chose Stroud Hill Park. We look forward to seeing them again soon ."
