Trethem Mill has done it again and won another Gold award at the Cornwall Tourism awards 2014/15. Ian, Jane & Jake are delighted to have been awarded the top honour of “Camping & Caravanning Park” in a highly competitive category. The awards were held at the Headland hotel, Newquay and were presented by Cornishman and England rugby union legend Phil Vickery.

The awards aim to highlight the outstanding aspects and customer service within the tourism industry. The judges’ comments said “this Park is a labour of love for a family that clearly research the very best ideas each year, learn from them and apply ideas that are as least as good for Trethem Mill”.

Councillor Julian German said “behind the glamour of the Cornwall Tourism awards is a rigorous judging process. The trophies are a symbol of hard work, investment and passion”.

The awards are now in their thirteenth year and within this time we are very proud to have been awarded Gold an impressive eight times. It is also our third accolade this year alongside the David Bellamy Gold award for conservation and the Visit England Gold award for exceptional service and quality beyond the usual 5-star rating.

The winners will now go on to represent Cornwall in the South West Tourism awards.
