Stretton Lakes is situated in 120 acres of farmland in the county of Rutland. Six fishing lakes have been created over the past 40 years to create an idyllic setting surrounded by woodland and open farmland. The lakes support a huge range of flora and fauna, watch carp cruising around islands, mallards flying into roost at dusk and if you’re lucky deer grazing around the lodges.
We are the only luxury lodges in Rutland that have been awarded the prestigious 4 and 5* Gold accolade for each lodge by Visit Britain. Virtual tours of our lodges can be found on each lodge page on our website. Free wifi is available in all lodges. All lodges have their own private outdoor Hot Tubs, our 5* lodges also have Saunas.

Stretton Lakes is situated between the market towns of Stamford and Oakham both only 7 miles away Oakham is famous for Rutland water with a 25 mile circular cycle track, Rutland water has an international reputation for sailing, trout fishing and bird watching. Stamford is renowned for its historical architecture and Burghley house and Burghley horse trials.
Our luxury round log cabins are situated on the southerly edge of Stretton Wood, this 100 acre ancient woodland is teeming with fallow deer and woodland birds, take a walk through the wood or just relax in our holiday lodges, each have their own private heated hot tub overlooking the lakes. A perfect way to unwind with a glass of wine after a day’s sightseeing or fishing.
