Supporting The NHS And Our Communities

Whilst our parks are closed for the time being, we are showcasing the wonderful work that's happening behind the scenes. All of our park owners are working incredibly hard to ensure the parks grounds are looking spick and span, for when the time is right to reopen, and we can welcome visitors back with open arms.

We've been inspired by some of the things our parks owners and staff have been doing to support the NHS and their local communities.  Take a look at the incredible work that's been taking place!

Polmanter Touring Park, Cornwall

polmanter touring park family

Polmanter Touring Park is in St Ives, Cornwall and is home to the Osborne family. Phill has run the site with his wife Becki who multi tasks as a GP at the local hospital. Since the Coronavirus pandemic, life has changed considerably for the Osbornes. While the park has closed, Becki has continued her hospital work and has been supporting the 111 Coronavirus Clinical Assessment Telephone Triage Service. In between shifts, Becki is still helping Phill with the practicalities of a closed holiday park and home schooling the children. She knows that brighter times are ahead of us and she inspires us all to keep calm and carry on!  Thank you for all you do for the NHS, Becki.

Swiss Farm Touring and Camping, Oxfordshire

Swiss Farm Touring and Camping has been re-purposed while it's closed, providing a valuable service to the community thanks to a wonderful group of helpers spearheaded by Tamsin. Bosley Patch market garden was set up on Swiss Farm 15 years ago to provide fresh and seasonal vegetables to the local community and businesses. During these difficult times, Swiss Farm knew that we needed reliable local produce more than ever and they are playing their part in their local community. Based in Henley on Thames, the site is set within the old Fawley Court Estate and has been owned and run by the Borlase family since 1946.

Hendra Holiday Park, Cornwall

Hendra Holiday Park have painted their rainbow for all to see! Give them a beep if you see the sign in Newquay!

Wooda Farm Holiday Park, Cornwall

... and our final mention has to go to Rosie at Wooda Farm Holiday Park in Bude, Cornwall. Not only do we think her NHS rainbow is a beautiful work of art, her use of cotton wool pads is a genius piece of innovation for a 3 year old. In fact, her handwriting is pretty advanced too come to think of it!

All the Best of British holiday parks look forward to welcoming visitors back when Government advice permits them to do so.
