Most of the Best of British holiday parks are dog friendly, enabling you to enjoy a well earned break with your canine companion. To help you plan your future getaways, we've selected some of our favourite doggie shots alongside a brief run down of what some of our member parks provide. From dog showers to dog agility, we've got some fantastic options for you across the country.
Our parks may be closed at the moment, but it doesn't mean we can't share an idea of what is awaiting you when you return to your holiday adventures!
Poston Mill Park, Herefordshire
Poston Mill Park pride themselves on making all the family welcome. They have a ten acre field so that dogs can run free. There are trails around the park, footpaths starting at the park, water bowls and dog hooks. There's also a dog wash and fur dryer - undercover! Dog and cat packs are available for purchase if you forget anything. Poston Mill Park really is geared up to welcome pets as well as their human companions.
Fields End Water Caravan Park, Cambridgeshire
Fields End Water are keen to welcome your canine companion to their site near March in Cambridgeshire. An adult only park, it is well placed for outdoor enthusiasts. Ramblers and cyclists are sure to enjoy the flat, expansive Fenland countryside, while fishermen (and women!) can enjoy the two lakes on the park. Our doggie friends can enjoy the dog agility circuit in the off-lead area. With so much to do, we fear your dog will need a holiday AFTER its holiday, to recover!
Oxon Hall Touring Park, Shropshire
Oxon Hall Touring Park is an award winning five star park set in tree-fringed land close to Shrewsbury town centre and is well situated for visiting Ironbridge and the Welsh Marches. There is an abundance of dog friendly local countryside pubs and long country trails which are all within walking distance of the park. 2 dogs are welcome per pitch.
Stowford Farm Meadows, Devon
Stowford Farm Meadows have been keeping busy while they're closed and have taken the opportunity to walk the dogs in the bluebell woods. This touring caravan and camping park is set among 500 acres of rolling countryside providing fabulous views and a safe environment for the perfect camping holiday - with your canine pals too! Based in Combe Martin, it also provides an excellent opportunity to explore North Devon.
Trethem Mill Touring Park, Cornwall
Trethem Mill Touring Park provided us with this beautiful throwback shot of a walk last year in the bluebell woods. Based near both St Mawes and Portscatho in Cornwall, the local countryside provides excellent dog walking opportunities. The Roseland Peninsula is an area full of uncommercialised natural beauty and it is just waiting to be explored.
Broadhembury Holiday Park, Kent
Broadhembury Holiday Park welcomes dogs and offers a wide range of activities that guests and their dog can enjoy. The park is surrounded by beautiful countryside where there are dog walks aplenty. There's also a number of dog friendly pubs nearby. Milo, Broadhembury's resident canine, likes to perform regular ‘research trips’ on these walks and establishments so the team can give you info on the very best places to explore! Alongside dog friendly touring and camping pitches, Broadhembury also offers Dog-friendly Holiday Home Hire. The Jenny Wren holiday home sports all the luxuries that the most discerning of pooches would be happy with. They even supply towels for drying off after a ‘paw’ wash!
Trevalgan Touring Park, Cornwall
Trevalgan Touring Park in Cornwall have shared some photos of a walk that takes approximately an hour to St Ives from the park. It's a fantastic opportunity to take some photos and spot seals, dolphins and local seabirds from the clifftops. They recommend that after a long day exploring the town's cobbled streets or playing on the beach, that you get the bus back to the campsite if the little ones are tiring!
Old Oaks Touring and Glamping, Somerset
Old Oaks resident dogs, Ronnie and Reggie, have been soaking up the sun while they await the return of guests at the park. In fact, the park is set up to host canine guests in the same way they host the humans! There is a dog shower with warm water to keep our furry friends clean and comfortable during their stay. The dogs may even get into the holiday spirit more than their owners judging by what we've seen...
All the Best of British holiday parks look forward to welcoming visitors back when Government advice permits them to do so.
