The last 4 months have been challenging for holiday parks across the country, but as we move past the storm, the inevitable rainbows appear. The rainbow has become the national sign of hope so we thought we'd show you a selection from the Best of British parks. Not only do we love rainbows, now more than ever it signifies that the sun is coming!
Ladram Bay, Devon
Offering stunning views of the Jurassic Coast and the surrounding rolling countryside, 5-star Ladram Bay Holiday Park is perfectly placed to pop along to the beach with their handmade rainbow. Made by their artistic team, the rainbow was a show of support for the NHS during the events of spring 2020. We think the team get 5 stars for their arty efforts!
Fields End Water Caravan Park, Cambridgeshire
Fields End Water Caravan Park in Cambridgeshire may not have a rainbow, but we couldn't fail to mention their lovely tribute to the NHS. Well done to Charlie, Clive, Carol, Colin and Sandra for their awesome lawn mowing skills!
Blair Castle Caravan Park, Perthshire
Boasting some of the most impressive Scottish scenery, Blair Castle Caravan Park furnished us with this beauty. With a landscape like no other, this is definitely a park to visit. The local Perthshire scenery is simply stunning.
Bron-Y-Wendon Holiday Park, Denbighshire
Bron-Y-Wendon Holiday Park has amazing panoramic views of the Irish sea and Llandudno’s Great Orme. When a rainbow was spotted at the park, the camera was on hand to capture this magical moment. You can even see the storm clearing the blue skies coming - hopefully a metaphor for British holidaymakers this summer.
Bath Chew Valley Caravan Park, Bath
Bath Chew Valley Caravan Park is a peaceful park based on a garden theme, with pitches set amongst lawns, shrubs and flower beds. And on this occasion, a double rainbow! We can't guarantee that this beauty will always be here, but a warm welcome and (hopefully) blue skies usually will.
Craigtoun Meadows Holiday Park, St Andrews, Fife
Craigtoun Meadows Holiday Park is based very close to St Andrews, the legendary home of golf and as most golfers will now, a storm can strike in a flash. You can just see that this is a double rainbow and by the time this photo was taken, the sunshine was ready to take over and whisk those grey clouds away!
Green Hill Farm Caravan and Camping Park, Wiltshire
Green Hill Caravan and Camping Park caught this spectacular double rainbow (another!) after a storm and it almost looks like the image is joined together, but it isn't! As the storm clears, those blues skies re-appear. The park is a peaceful hide-away on the edge of the New Forest. It is within the National Park and has its own direct access to the forest from the site. Another park perfect for a peaceful retreat.
Trethem Mill, Cornwall
And finally, the team at Trethem Mill caught this rainbow over St Ives in Cornwall. Strictly speaking, it's not over the park but we couldn't exclude this pretty image of such a recognisable location. St Ives looks beautiful in the sunshine or storms and there are plenty of cafes in which to take shelter!
We hope you've enjoyed this little visual tour around the parks. Remember that after the storm comes the rainbow and after the rainbow, comes the sun. Here's to a summer of holiday making in the sunshine in your happy place. If you're planning a staycation this year you can check availability and book online via our website.
