A New Dawn - Best of British Parks Re-open!

The Best of British holiday parks have been overwhelmed by the support shown to them over the last 4 months and we have finally reached a new dawn. On the 4th July parks in England will begin to re-open, with increased health and safety procedures in place. We thought this would be the perfect opportunity to share some fantastic images of sunrises from our caravan and camping parks across the UK. Nothing signifies the start of a new era than a sunrise.  So if you're heading off to your first staycation of 2020, or you're considering your first ever break at one of our independent parks, here are some uplifting images to brighten your day!

Highlands End Holiday Park, Dorset

If you time it right, you can see a beautiful sight like this during a stay at Highlands End in Dorset. The park is just a short walk from Eype Beach and West Bay, where beautiful sunsets and sunrises can be observed. If you're not sure of your timings, there are many sunrise websites, which will give you the all important times of day you need to note to capture beautiful images like this. Highlands End is the perfect choice for exploring the Jurassic Coast and is perfectly positioned near the South West Coast Path where you'll fine lots of vantage points for stunning photography.

South Lytchett Manor Caravan and Camping Park, Dorset

South Lytchett Manor have one of the most stunning entrances you will see. This gateway is such a familiar sight for guests arriving at the park, they truly know they are at their home away from home. We wrote about the history of the park in the 'Meet The Owners' post last month. They have a fascinating story about how they came to own the park. The team can't wait to welcome visitors back through these gates.

Clippesby Hall Holiday Park, Norfolk

Heading east, we visit Clippesby Hall next. Sited in the Norfolk Broads National Park, they are perfectly placed for some landscape photography. The team captured this stunning sunrise from the terrace of one of the lodges.

The Old Oaks, Somerset

The Old Oaks Touring Park is an adult only park, based in Glastonbury. As you'd expect, it's a tranquil and blissful place and sunsets and sunrises are a sight to behold. The views of the Mendip hills coupled with peace, quiet and abundant wildlife making this the perfect spot to 'get away from it all'. Be sure to take your camera to capture the stunning sunrises from either the park itself or nearby Glastonbury Tor.

Waterrow Touring Park, Somerset

Another of our Somerset parks is Waterrow Touring Park. Based near the Devon border, this park is just 16 miles from Taunton and is set in a beautiful wooded valley close to Exmoor, the Quantocks and the Somerset and North Devon coastlines. There are ample opportunities for beautiful sunrises like that seen here. We can almost feel the chill in the air and the sun warming the day.

Ladram Bay Holiday Park, Devon

Ladram Bay Holiday Park is just over the border in Devon and with their own private beach, the opportunities for stunning photo memories are endless. The Jurassic Coastline provides a wonderful backdrop to a sunrise. Definitely one to get up early for!

Green Hill Farm Caravan and Camping Park, Wiltshire

We don't know what to absorb first. The beautifully coloured heather, the moody mists or the horse making its way through the morning air. Green Hill Farm is a peaceful hideaway on the edge of the New Forest. It is within the National Park and has its own direct access to the forest from the site. Take your binoculars, your camera, your paints, your easel - anything whereby you can capture a sunrise like this!

Beverley Park, Devon

beverley holiday park in devon

Beverley Park have shared this beautiful image of a stunning sunrise at the park in Paignton in Devon. The site overlooks the sea but this shot was captured in the middle of a very quiet park. A very good example of what getting up at the crack of dawn can do, a good stretch of the legs and sights like this.

Bath Chew Valley, Somerset

Bath Chew Valley Holiday Park is perfectly positioned, very near Chew Lake where this picture of peacefulness was taken. The lake is actually a large reservoir in the Chew Valley, the fifth-largest artificial lake in the United Kingdom with an area of 1,200 acres. As it's just 800 metres from the holiday park itself, it's a great place to practice your landscape photography.

Craigtoun Meadows Holiday Park, St Andrews, Fife

Craigtoun Meadows shared this image of a sunrise at the holiday park in Scotland. We know golfers like to get up and out early, but clearly in St Andrews the Craigtoun team do too! So whether you're golfing or camping or both, take a good look around at sunrise time and appreciate the Scottish nip in the air and the wonderful sight of a St Andrews sunrise.

We very much hope you are able to visit one of the Best of British parks for a staycation this year. Are parks are ready to welcome you back with increased measures in place.
