Norwich Castle
Norwich, NorfolkThe castle features astounding history as first records go all the way back to 1075, when Ralph de Gael, Earl of Norfolk, rebelled against William and held Norwich with his men. The conflict ended with a secured promise that the men would not be harmed.
In 1894, the Norwich Museum made a transition and moved into the Norwich Castle grounds. It is now known as “Norwich Castle Museum & Art Gallery” and is host to some of the most significant historic objects within the region.
When visiting the museum and gallery, you can expect a wide range of things to discover, ranging from highly realistic tours, giving you insight into what once was an extremely formidable medieval masterpiece to an inside look into the castle’s dungeons.
