Duxford Imperial War Museum
Cambridge, CambridgeshireThe museum houses a range of aircraft, including the American subsonic jet bomber, aka the “B-52” and the turbojet-powered supersonic passenger airline “Concorde”. These are both extreme feats of engineering and are definitely worth visiting the museum to experience in person.
Film, photographs, documents, books and artefacts are also stored there to make for a well-rounded historic experience.
Activities, experiences and workshops are hosted by the museum. Take to the skies on the ultimate flight experience in a fully operational Spitfire plane, or build an aeroplane during one of their family paper plane challenges. There’s something for everyone available at the museum.
