Stayed for 2 nights over the Easter break. Lovely site, fantastic managers. The owner was really friendly Near a golf course with tenpin bowling We went to a pub recommended by the site called the Windmill, 2 courses for £11.95 then a live music event in town Really good for dog walking through the golf course Facilities were immaculate with a bar and restaurant on-site Highly recommendedDavid Parish

We arrived late afternoon on Friday, the weather was beautiful and the site very peaceful. I would say most pitches needed chocs and big ones too, so be warned. It was necessary for my husband to have Wi-fi which was an additional cost of £5. per day but it proved to be almost unusable and because of this we had to leave one day early. The toilet block was very clean and spacious. Two things, it could do with some chairs to sit on for us oldies to sit and put on shoes etc, also the showers were wet rooms and so were wet!. Although there were hooks on the backs of doors to hang towels clothes etc there was no where to put wash bags and putting on trousers was quite a trial trying not to get them wet. BUT it was a very nice site, the restaurant served good food. There were large spaces for dog walking. The staff were helpful and friendly. It would have been nice to have had more information on the surrounding area for visits. A very good site if you don't mind wet rooms, can do up your shoes without the need for a chair and don't mind being on a slope!!!!!!!!!! This said with tongue in cheek. Visited very nice restaurant, The Windmill in Somersham.Diane Chasmer

Just back from 4 days at Stroud Hill. Jackie and Mike were very friendly and welcoming, the pitches are spacious and fully serviced but we do recomend a 20m water hook up. The staff at The Barn are very attentive and the food was delicious. My wife even went one evening for a pudding (very rare) which they were more than happy to serve us. We'll definitely be going back soon - one of our top sites.Taz & Ruthie
