Pete & June Spiring 10th November, 2006 Found the owners very welcoming and helpful, small site laid out very well, although our pitch was very acceptable it was next to the waste bins and car park and not as attractive as some of the other pitches further away. The shower block was excellent, new, clean and very warm, we like the idea of having your own amenties i.e. toilet, shower and sink in one cubicle. The dog walking area was clean, with plastic bags, small spades and cleaning water, together with a bin for disposal of dog waste. We stayed three nights and would certainly go again. Hi, We have just spent a very happy week at Bath Chew Valley Caravan Park. The site is very well maintained, with lots of grassed areas surrounding quite generous hard standing pitches. It was a nice change to have the cars parked away from the caravans, and I think that this added to the atmosphere. Instead of the usual shower block, there are separate bathrooms, each one having a toilet, hand basin and shower - and these double glazed bathrooms are kept very warm and clean. (It was nice to have it all en suite rather than separate loos). Although we felt that the pub in the village let the place down, the site did provide excellent information on 10 pubs in 10 minutes from the site (by car). Nice to have free access to Internet too. (One last thing - there were a hand full of pitches which were not so well appointed as the rest, as they were in a separate little cul de sac with less landscaping, so you might want to check as you book) Response from Bath Chew Valley Caravan Park on 12 Nov 2007: Update Autumn 2007, The village pub, the Red Lion, has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment, the new landlord provides a warm welcome, a good range of menu selections and a comfortable lounge to enjoy when you visit 2 of 2 people found this helpful.
