It is 40th years since Keith and Jenny Taylor began running a caravan and camping park at Broadhembury, and our hard work has been recognised by the AA who have judged Broadhembury to be the AA Campsite of the Year, South East England, and by Practical Caravan Magazine who voted us; South East Regional Winner 2009 . Broadhembury has come a long way since it began as a sheep meadow where a few people pitched their tents. We have at all times aimed to provide the highest of standards, which must compliment, not compromise our beautiful Kent countryside.
People nowadays want somewhere special to spend their holidays and short breaks. We provide the home-from-home facilities they now expect, while ensuring that conservation and resource management remain a very high priority.
Families think of the environment when they plan their holidays. This year we have seen a marked increase in the number of Continental visitors who have used ferry crossings or The Channel Tunnel rather than flying. Similarly many people now chose to camp locally, realising that where the town stops, the countryside begins, and they don’t have to drive miles to feel really away from it all. |
