The MMM awards, sponsored by the Caravan Club, are now in their fourth year at an annual ceremony held in the Hilton Metropole in Birmingham. Each motorhome, site and service considered by the judges has to be nominated by a reader before making it onto the shortlist. Judges had a specific checklist that makes a site great for motorcaravanners. This included facilities and proximity to amenities.

Mike Jago, Editor of MMM, said: "Poston Mill has it all, with a beautiful setting in the Golden Valley, Herefordshire. It has all year round appeal both for those looking for a tranquil holiday and those with a yearning to be a bit more active."

There are plenty of walks and riverside nature trails as well as tennis, badminton, petanque and table tennis on site, or you could try the nine-hole pitch 'n' putt course. There is a restaurant and bar on site or you could venture into the nearby village of Peterchurch.

Mike added: "There are pretty riverside pitches and excellent facilities, all within sight of the Black Mountains and the Brecon National Park."
