Isle of Wight, South East England The Orchards is a really excellent, well managed, friendly, family park. It is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, with glorious views of rolling countryside and the Solent shores. The Orchards is an award winning park with 8 successive gold David Bellamy awards for conservation, 2 gold Green Island awards and 5 stars for the holiday caravans from The English Tourism Council. The Orchards is also a finalist in the Tourism South East Excellence Awards.
There are 65 holiday caravans, arranged in a spacious setting among trees and pathways, 2, 4 and 6 berths. All with toilet, shower, fridge, heater, colour TV, video and microwave. Most have double glazing and central heating. We have 2 new luxury caravans, The Blenheims, with a specification of the highest order, free standing furniture and a canopy bed, for those wishing to celebrate a special occasion in style.
Our Sovereign holiday caravan has been carefully designed for wheelchair users and those with special needs. Facilities include heated indoor pool with poolside coffee shop, heated outdoor pool and paddling pool, (open late May-early Sept) adventure play areas, shop, takeaway, self service launderette, table tennis and dog walking area.
We are very pleased to announce that our new Facilities Centre is now open. It contains shower and washbasin cubicles, family bathroom, family shower rooms, spacious laundry, ironing and washing up area all with spectacular views, campers prep area, walkers drying room, full accessible facilities, baby changing area and chemical disposal point. All with the luxury of underfloor heating. - Tourist Attractions
- There is something for all interests on the Isle of Wight, from discovering dinosaurs and fascinating history to fun parks. On land, sea and air you can enjoy walking, bird watching, cycling, riding and golf, swimming, fishing, sailing and windsurfing - paragliding and hang-gliding - the Isle of Wight is a haven of outdoor activities. Nearby there is Carisbrooke Castle, Chessil Pottery and the beaches of Compton and Colwell Bay.
The Orchards Holiday Caravan and Camping Park is within easy distance of an excellent network of footpaths, bridle paths, coastal paths and cycleways that would be difficult to match anywhere else in the UK. - Directions
