If there ever was a friendly site this is it. Nothing was ever too much trouble
no matter how small or large. The welcome you are given is kind and with a smile
which is all you ever want! But to top it all the site is a credit to the owners
and all their staff. Neat tidy and very well presented and we've seen a few! A
great dog walking area that is safe and enclosed lovely for anyone who likes to
play ball with your dog. The pub is within walking distance a pleasant stroll
through the site and down the road way. A rare addition along with immaculate
facilities is the super shop with many things that campers either forget to
bring or find the ultimately need and it's not over expensive. Well done South
Lytchett you are highly recommended.
Good point to remember too you are not too far for the ferry at Poole being a
useful stopover.

Set in lush grounds that were once part
of Lytchett Manor, this is an attractive and welcoming site. It came under new management last year, and every corner of it has been given attention.
The washrooms have been updated and increased in number. They are now heated and regularly decorated with fresh cut flowers. The separate washing-up and laundry facilities have had a good going over, too.
The pitches have all been levelled, and electric hook-up and TV aerial points have been added to many. A new shop and games room have been built, too. The play area is next on the list of improvements.
The site is in an excellent location to explore the east Dorset coast. The ancient port of Poole is a short drive away. The history of its harbour stretches back to the 13th century and has been used by pirates, fishermen and timber traders. As well as a walk along the waterside, visit the old quarter – there are more than one hundred historic buildings here.
A fun trip from Poole is a visit to Brownsea Island. This island, in the middle of Poole Harbour, is a safe haven for wildlife, especially red squirrels. Regular ferries make the 25-minute trip from Poole Quay.
A little further down the road is the seaside resort of Bournemouth. The town stretches along a large, sandy beach that is perfect for swimming and sandcastles. There is also plenty of family entertainment on Bournemouth Pier.
