We intended staying, and booked for, 4 nights. A week later we had to drag ourselves away as we were in danger of spending all of our allotted time at this one site. Ssuperb, clean, has a lovely shop, games room, powerful showers, great pool, hot tub, sauna, warm welcome, area is great and the staff are sooooo friendly and take great care with everything. Super pitches with TV connections, wooded (dog) walk and plenty of open space. Excellent facilities for children (that kept them safe, happy and away from the parked vehicles).
Tavistock with its Panier Market, lovely shops, coffee stops etc is well worth a visit.
Getting there is easy even with the largest of units. I do not usually do reviews but this site is special so you will just have to visit!!!!!!!

This is our 3rd year at Woodovis and again it ticked all the boxes. It is quiet and welcoming and the facilities can not be bettered. It is well placed for travelling around both North Cornwall and South East Devon. Looking forwards to our 4th year visit.
Cheers gang you are brilliant.

We have recently returned from Woodovis after visiting the park for many years, for 2011 we decided to stay in the Cottage which we thoroughly enjoyed. Myself, Husband and Granddaughter stayed for two weeks, the cottage was immaculate, cosy and made the entire holiday a pleasure. John, Dorothy and the team welcomed us once again with open arms and the park maintains its superb standard in particular the pool! With a wonderful atmosphere we were sad to leave and very much look forward to staying in the cottage in the future.
Thanks for a great holiday!

We're so pleased you enjoyed staying in the cottage too! Very best wishes to all the family.

Having stayed before as a couple, we knew this was exactly the Park we could bring our grandchildren to for their first caravan experience. We were delighted with all the excellent facilities- see below- the kiddies loved the pool and the play area. We greatly appreciated the quality of our Deluxe Finch and the comprehensive folder of information that enabled us to enjoy our holiday to the full. A super park in a wonderful location, managed by great staff- what more could you ask! I recommend this for couples and families.
Response from Woodovis Park on 17 Jun 2010:
Ahhh! We're so pleased that it worked out so well for the grandchildren too! What a great way to give Mum & Dad their own holiday and you get your own special time with them too! Thank you too for posting your review. See you again next time!

Woodovis Park is one of the nicest sites we have ever stayed in. The welcome is superb and the facilities are just enough for an enjoyable holiday without the noise of a lot of sites. We rented the cottage of a week and found it was great for us. A friend stayed with us in the single room. The surrounding area is full of interesting places to visit and Tavistock is a great town for shopping, the pannier market and walking around taking in the history on the 'round blue plaques'. We would recommend Woodovis to all sorts of people as friends stayed both in the static caravans and camped in camper vans and tents. All were very happy. We can't wait for our next visit!
Response from Woodovis Park on 9 Jun 2010:
We enjoyed having you and your lovely MG's staying too! They certainly added to the park that week too! Thank you so much for such a lovely review. See you next time!

Wow, what a site!
By far the most friendly, clean and prettiest site we have ever been to.
We had a Super Pitch on the Tamar Field. We arrived on the Bank Holiday Saturday after a 6 hour journey, once we turned into the driveway the journey was a distant memory.
We pulled up at reception and straight away it was first name terms and we were booked in and personally escorted to our pitch.
A lovely large pitch, level with great views and also a picnic bench.
We stayed for a week but wish we could have stayed a lot longer.
The owners, managers and wardens always seemed to be cleaning or tending to the Swimming Pool and Gardens to ensure the site was always at its best for the guests which meant everything was always first class.
We visited the Swimming Pool complex on more than one occasion each day and everytime we visited it was always warm, spotlessly clean and never overcrowded.
The Shower Block was great, with attention to detail that included mops for each shower (Power) and the latest Dyson handryers. Though a nice touch that these are turned off at 10pm to ensure the noice would not disturb any campers in the near vasinity if someone inadvertantly left the door or a window open.
This site is a great location with Tavisstock on your doorstop for all your shopping needs and absolutely loads of thibgs to do all within easy reach including fantastic beaches and great visitor attractions.
All in all this site is a credit to its owners and we have already booked up to visit again next year.

An immaculate park with extremly friendly wardens. A very relaxed atmosphere where the owners and wardens quitely get on with keeping this park as if were part of a stately home!
So quiet, clean, and spacious.
We will be returning next year for another 2 week stay!

Woodovis Park is set in beautiful and peaceful surroundings in the heart of the Devon countryside. The facilities are excellent and include an indoor pool and thermal sauna. The park also has a very positive attitude to energy saving, recycling, etc. Without exception staff members were friendly and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay. Our only regret was that we were unable to stay for longer, which we would certainly have done had we had time.

What a fantastic location, Lovely countryside and a well kept site. The staff were very helpful starting with a personal warm welcome where we were taken to our site after a tour of the facilities. I cannot say how much we enjoyed this quiet restful location, and great facilities for the kids!! swimming every day!! We will visit again soon!

My girlfriend and I visited this site and our welcome set the tone for our visit. The lady who met us was extremely friendly and informative about this site and it's facilities. Every member of staff we encountered here were friendly and helpful. Customer service here is obviously a high priority and has left a lasting impression on us. Another high priority here is the site cleanliness. Outside maintenance and landscaping is excellent. Equally so is interior cleanliness, particularly the toilets and showers as well as the on site indoor swimming pool. There is even a stand alone room for cleaning your toilet waste that has a large hand basin with hand held shower tap as well as hand cleaner, detergent and even air freshener too. But the most legendary feature of the site is their bread oven. Your order needs to be made the previous evening, so we plumped for pain au chocolate and got these freshly made the following morning at 0830 - they were absolutely lush!! We stayed here again on 4th October 2009 and the staff here are a huge credit to your company and because of our experience there we are going to visit your Highland End site in Dorset in early November 2009 .

This year my wife and I started to tour the counrty in our new motorhome. While touring the west country we booked into this site. That was the best thing we did, on arrival we were greeted as if we had always stayed at the site. The cleanliness is extreme throughout the whole site, but never gets in the way of the campers. The chemical disposal point even has a washhand basin, soap and paper towels (so you can forget that task as soon as you get back to the van)
The whole team (for that is what they are) are a credit to their site and the Best of British Org. Thank you all.

Last week my wife, 10 month old daugher and 18 month old dog took our first adventure into the caravanning world and decided on Woodovis park. I don't know where to begin in expressing our gratitude to John and Dorothy and their team!!
Nothing was too much trouble for them. Whenever we needed help they were there and most of the time we didn't even have to ask!!
The park is immaculate!! Any caravan park we visit from now on will have a lot to live up to!!
Whether it is your first time or not, give Woodovis park a try!! If only for the freshly cooked on site Croissants and Pain au chocolats that we couldn't resist every morning!!
Thanks for all your help and Patience Dorothy!!
