Beside a sandy beach with rock-pools, the Park offers spectacular coastal walks. Golfers are particularly well catered for, with short breaks available in our luxury lodges. The adjacent 18-hole golf course overlooks stunning coastal views, and offers a challenge for golfers of all levels. Extensive facilities for all family members, including non-golfers.4 Aug 2008 - knightsarah (5) from northumberland wrote Overall: Pitch (touring or tent) OR Accommodation (holiday home, chalet or lodge): Overall appearance of the park: Facilities provided by the park: Welcome/Customer Service:
we have been to this site on a numerous of occations now both in a tent and now in a tourer and can not say anything bad about the site. Everytime we have had a fantastic time and so have the friends we have recommended it to. The only problem we have now is trying to find a site else where in the country with the same high standards as brighouse Was this review helpful? 1 Sep 2007 - col22 (7) from west yorkshire wrote Overall: Pitch (touring or tent) OR Accommodation (holiday home, chalet or lodge): Overall appearance of the park: Facilities provided by the park: Welcome/Customer Service:
Me, Him and the girls aged 15, 14 and 11 have just returned from our very first family 6 night stay (have prev done 1 or 2 nights but never a full week!) and can only say good things about this site. The pitches are all a great size, the site is very clean and well maintained. The shower/toilet blocks were a bit strange at first, being unisex, but that works so well for families. There are also sort of en-suite booths which are great for when the kids are younger and need some help. The shop is well stocked with every essential and not at all over priced. The bay was just beautiful, very peaceful and tranquil but at the same time the kids were kept happy and even found a full grown crab in one of the rock pools. We would highly reccomend this site for everybody, young and not so young alike. 2 of 2 people found this helpful. Well we have been travelling around the counrty again and this time we went to Brighouse Bay. What a stroke of luck the area is second to none and the beech is worth the long drive from England. At LOW tide in the LOW season we were the only people on this idilic beach, in the high season I would think that the sand finds it difficult to find a gap for people( from the site). I don't know about the tides and currents but it is a sand based beech with a gentle slope, perfect for paddling. The site was clean and tidy although we were unable to find the motorhome grey water disposal site that we were directed to. Water for a self contained unit like mine was also a pain to locate as it was near to fixed caravans and so a long white hose was required. We found it welcoming/clean and peaceful (when we went). Well worth returning again, this time with my fishing line. 1 of 1 people found this helpful. Having just returned , overall we had a very enjoyable holiday, the park itself was very good, and the kids enjoyed the freedom of been able to bike around etc, our only gripe was the toilet/shower blocks, the unisex cubicles are an excellent idea but those along with the Ladies & Gents needed cleaning more than once a day, the share volume of people using these facilities cleaning really does need to be made a priority here, as we feel they couldnt possibly be The Best of British Standard. 3 of 3 people found this helpful. We have stayed at this park in the past few years. the Toilet Facilities were of the Highest level I have seen during my touring and camping holdays. There are a few childrens activities but I recommend that you take alternative toys etc. The Club Hosue is great put in my opinion would keep the teenage years happy but not for children younger. 5 of 5 people found this helpful.
