Highfield Farm Touring Park Highfield Farm is a quiet and peaceful touring park that covers some eight acres. It is surrounded by conifers, hedges, and trees, and is carefully divided to provide for all touring needs. Pitches are set around the perimeter, leaving the central area free, giving a spacious feeling to the park.29 Aug 2008 - mpearson (5) from Nottingham wrote Overall: Pitch (touring or tent) OR Accommodation (holiday home, chalet or lodge): Overall appearance of the park: Facilities provided by the park: Welcome/Customer Service:
The facilities provided were of a very high standard in both buildings and cleanliness. The site had a very friendly family atmosphere. Play areas were provided for younger children but feel older children were not catered for. We visit Highfield Farm at least twice a year and felt we needed to say how excellent this site is in comparison to the many other sites we have visited in the UK and abroad. Firstly the staff are exceptionally friendly, helpful and professional. Beverley and Kevin are the two people that we have had the most contact with, and they always ensure the site is well run and provide an excellent customer service. The showers and toilets are always clean, warm and with loads of hot water (the best we have seen),The feel of the site is relaxing and welcoming. I would wholeheartedly recommend this site to anyone! Hadn't visited the Cambridge area before, was abe to book with just a few days notice for a short break. Stayed at Highfield Farm August 4-8 2008, weather wasn't brilliant, but the park made up for it. The location is good - easy reach of Cambridge P&R and main roads to other towns. Some of the best shower facilities i've come across in 8 years of camping around the UK. Lovely level pitch, plenty of hot water and a friendly family run park. The walk around the edge of the park is pleasant for an evening stroll! We'll be back again Was this review helpful? 6 Aug 2008 - t4tel (5) from hertfordshire wrote Overall: Pitch (touring or tent) OR Accommodation (holiday home, chalet or lodge): Overall appearance of the park: Facilities provided by the park: Welcome/Customer Service:
after short notice i found myself a few days spare, lucky for me i came across this place for my camping break. i was made feel welcome & given a chose of pitch, i asked for evening shade & was more than happy with what i received. it was perfect, with plenty of space for my 5 man tent with a nice parking spot too. all the facilities are as advertised clean & modern. if your looking for a beautiful, peaceful & spacious park either short 1 to 2 nights stay or for much longer one, i am sure you will love this park. so peaceful with all you need close by. me & my son will be returning again soon. This was our first visit. Ideal situation for visiting city of Cambridge with much information available. Facilities excellent. However, we would not return as the pitch was far too small and the units far too close together. It is a shame because otherwise I am sure we would go again. Have been using this park over the past two years for weekends and longer stays, we have always found a warm welcome from the friendly owners and very clean and tidy facilities. A well maintained park. We only stayed for one night as an introduction for my 7 year old to camping. She thought it was fantastic and the site made the whole experience a pleasure. Very clean and facilities could not be faulted Was this review helpful? 18 Aug 2007 - rosakema (6) from kent wrote Overall: Pitch (touring or tent) OR Accommodation (holiday home, chalet or lodge): Overall appearance of the park: Facilities provided by the park: Welcome/Customer Service:
I arrived here after spending 13 nights at a cc site(nothing wrong with the cc but... ) it was a pleasure to be greeted so warmly by the owners and staff who immediately made you feel welcome. The price was good, the site extremely spacious and green( I liked the way it was seperated into caravan, tent and family field areas). Facilities spotlessly clean and tidy. The shop was small but definately stocked a large enough selection of products for any emergency needs and more besides. The site was peacefull and calm - not necessary to watch out for children on bikes speeding around the roads, as there is only one - right up the centre. Would definately reccomend and will return again. 1 of 1 people found this helpful. We visited Highfield Farm 20-27June and had a wonderful holiday. The facilities were excellent as was the welcome. This was a friendly site. The weather was not very good but the site appeared to be well drained and so there was little inconvenience. We will definitely visit again in the future. 1 of 1 people found this helpful. This is the first time we have visited this park and found it to be very friendly, clean and spacious, i particularly liked the positioning of the caravans around the perimeter which gave lots of space in front which we found was excellent for the kids, the only downside was that you have to pay 10p for a shower,i have never come across this before. I would certainly reccomend this site 1 of 1 people found this helpful. we have visited this site a few times over the last 2 years on reccommendation. the owners are so friendly and it is kept very very clean. the family field is great as you can watch your children on the great play equipment from the outside of the field, it is not packed in and has plenty of space.there is a lovely dog walk at the top of the site. dont miss the chip van that visits on a saturday evening it is superb.the toilet and showers blocks are exeptionall and there are several and a great launderette.the shop has a wide range of goods and locally grown fresh veg in season.we love it here but did not book in time for the august bank holidays so it is full we are so dissappointed.but will be back next time.highly reccommended 1 of 1 people found this helpful. Very clean and well maintained camp site. Seperate sections for different types of units and groups (family etc.). Friendly welcome and staff always willing to help. Even though the site was quite busy over the bank holiday, it was not noisy. We found it to be very relaxing. Would recommend 1 of 1 people found this helpful.
