We had a great sunny August bank holiday week at the Orchards, we our family with 3 children in a trailer tent, my parents in a motor home and my sisters family with two young children stayed in a static caravan on site. Ferrie trip went well booked through the Orchards. On arrival we were re allocated pitches as ours were a bit soggy from all the bad weather, which was good. Reception very friendly, 3 toilet blocks all very clean and a big bath was great for our 3 year old who is not keen on showers. The site shop has everything you could need from food, toys, sandles, towles, camping equ, smellies, off licence etc. There are two indoor play rooms though we did'nt use them as we had lovley weather. Outdoor pool was a great hit with the girls and the indoor pool was also very nice and free if you present your bob cards to the reception on booking in, which was nice. They run punch and judy and payable scuba diving lessons for kids. Two park areas one to front and a large ball games area with all sorts of posts for many games in a large field to the rear overlooking lovley country side. We took our bikes with us and had great days cycling to Freshwater, Colwell bay, Needles and local potery painting and the watermill. We drove to a lovley beach in Ventor. We had a nice evening in alum bay watching the fire works which are put on every Thursday night during August. The park was nice and quite you don't realise how many pitches there are untill you have a walk around, the feal of a small site with all the extra benifits of a large one. Would not have changed anything. I have just been to this holiday park with my mum, sister and my 2 year old daughter. It was a lovely place to stay with excellent and friendly staff. The holiday park was easy to find and set in a lovely country side location. Our accomodation was well equipt and very clean. Would visit again in the future. Was this review helpful? |
