Dolbeare Park, is proud to announce that it recently achieved the David Bellamy GOLD Award for conservation. This has been an interesting and difficult award to win since Dolbeare Park’s ethos is more towards sustainability so finding a practical way to combine sustainability and conservation has been the biggest challenge. Dolbeare Park will continue to build on its achievements and encourage greater visitor participation and involvement. The Park is also delighted to announce that at the recent Cornwall Tourism Awards, Dolbeare was recognised for it’s achievements towards ‘Sustainability’ and was awarded a Bronze Award. The sustainability award is very competitive and an excellent win for Dolbeare Park. The Assessor comments “The most innovative features include the excellent monitoring systems and the information point and website promoting low mileage options … the sustainability ethos is clearly communicated.” Dolbeare Park, is also a member of the Green Tourist Business Scheme (GTBS) and earlier this year achieved the GTBS GoldStar Award (for green ambassadorship, innovation and cost savings) and the Best Carbon Footprint Award. Dolbeare Park is one of only two businesses to achieve both awards. Dolbeare Park is a 5 star touring caravan and camping park in Cornwall. It is a member of the Best of British Touring & Holiday Parks Group and is also a member of CoaST (Cornwalll Association for Sustainable Tourism). |
